WHERE RELATIONSHIPS
DRIVE RESULTS.
At Remuda, we believe the best developments come from collaboration, not ego. We bring together trusted partners, experienced specialists, and a shared commitment to getting the job done right. Every decision, every handshake, and every project is built on mutual respect, accountability, and the belief that how we work matters just as much as what we deliver.
DECADES OF EXPERIENCE
WITH OUR HANDS IN THE DIRT.
Remuda was founded by three industry veterans who’ve spent their careers shaping communities from the ground up. With more than 70 years of combined experience, they’ve led projects across every scale and sector—learning that success isn’t just about what you build, but how you build it. Together, they set out to create a company rooted in honesty, accountability, and follow-through. The result is Remuda Development—a team built to deliver with integrity, every time.
OUR TEAM
IAN PHILLIPS
Ian Phillips is the founder and managing member of Remuda Development. Ian leads Remuda on all aspects of strategic growth, real estate acquisition, finance, and development. Ian started his development career at Greensboro-based The Carroll Companies, gaining invaluable experience in land acquisition, entitlement, and various types of construction. In 2017, Ian left The Carroll Companies and partnered with mentors and friends, Tim Dockery and Daniel Barnes, of The Crown Companies, LLC, on development projects across North Carolina. That relationship would produce several notable development projects and a lifetime of friendship.
Ian is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, holding a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship. Ian received his Juris Doctor degree from Elon University School of Law and was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 2015.
Ian and his wife, Amanda, and two daughters, live on their farm in Stokesdale. Ian loves all things adventure: boating, snow skiing, hunting, fishing, to name a few. He and his family are members of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Winston Salem. Ian believes in a hyperlocal approach to real estate development and is passionate about growing our Triad community in thoughtful and creative ways.
AMANDA PHILLIPS
Amanda Phillips oversees operations for Remuda Development. She also collaborates on Remuda’s strategic direction and helps evaluate opportunities across Remuda’s portfolio. Brainstorming creative solutions to the novel challenges of real estate development is her favorite part of coming to work each day.
Prior to joining Remuda, Amanda provided strategic and operations management for local real estate development firms.
Amanda received her Juris Doctor degree and Master in Business Administration degree from Elon University and her undergraduate degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 2014. Amanda is also a licensed Broker with the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. Amanda spends as much time as possible gardening, cooking and exploring with husband, Ian, their daughters and their two black labs.
